The infamous reality star Michella Kox finds it scandalous how Tooske Ragas and her colleagues from Shownieuws have hacked into RTL’s new bullying program The House of Villains. “Middle finger!”
RTL receives a lot of criticism about House of Villains, the new bullying show by presenter Soundos El Ahmadi. When it suits them, they propagate on the channel that we should be kind and not hate, but when there is money to be made, all principles go overboard. “Stop hating, start loving, be sweet“, shouts TV boss Peter van der Vorst.
Trash TV
Michella Kox, one of the most notorious reality stars in our country, participates in House of Villains. She is furious about the way in which Tooske Ragas and her colleagues at Shownieuws have reported about the program. She places in her stories on Instagram an enormous middle finger, which is intended for this program.
She is angry: “After watching your broadcast, I feel compelled to respond. There has been talk about feel-good TV and the suggestion has been made that programs like House of Villains should not have a place on television, because it is supposedly ‘trash TV’ and participants are encouraged to argue.”
‘This isn’t right’
This image is ‘simply not correct’, according to Michella. “We are not directed to argue. Conflicts arise, just like in real life, sometimes on their own. As if no one ever has a disagreement or argument with a partner at home, that doesn’t seem realistic to me.”
She stands up for RTL’s TV boss Peter van der Vorst. “It came across today on the red carpet as if you were mainly focused on putting Peter van der Vorst in a negative light. That seemed to be the goal, while it is important to emphasize that this is television: a program, not reality.”
Crack down
Shownieuws is just smearing the show, says Michella. “There was never the intention to encourage people not to be kind to each other in everyday life. That image is unfairly painted. Moreover, the criticism of House of Villains was very much on top of it.”
She points in particular to Evert Santegoeds. “It was even said that someone would rather be in prison with Joran van der Sloot, a statement that in my opinion is out of proportion.”
Secretly watching
Michella has the feeling that all Shownieuws experts will soon just watch this program. “I bet all four of you that people will soon be watching secretly at home. And maybe even with pleasure.”
“Because House of Villains is not just swearing: there is humor, there is dynamics and yes – also genuine emotion and love.”
