The Robes rental rental platform is shutting down.

One of Robes rental’s most famous customers has been Suzanne Innes-Stubb, the spouse of the President of the Republic. Among other things, the Bottega Veneta earrings she wore at Linna’s party in 2024 and the Gianvito Rossi heels that were part of the outfit were rented through Robes rental. Inka Soveri

The fashion rental platform Robes rental will stop operating at the turn of the year. The company announces this in a bulletin published in its application. After the turn of the year, Robes rental will join the flea market platform Bought.

– Over time, it has become clear that Robes and Bought are aiming for the same future. One where technology fundamentally improves the way people use and recycle fashion. By combining our strengths, we can compete internationally with top-class Finnish circular economy expertise. Together we have the opportunity to set a new standard for fashion, says the founder and CEO of Robes rental Anna Sillanpää in the bulletin.

Robes rental’s application states that all rentals made for the rest of the year will be canceled and the fees paid will be refunded. Current rentals are paid to the owner’s account normally after the rental. New rentals can no longer be made.

There has been a stir around Robes rental this fall, because those who have rented designer clothes and accessories through it have publicly reported cases of theft and broken clothes. Compensation policies have been unclear and difficult.

A few weeks ago, the company announced that it would close its showroom and switch to operating only online.

The rental platform has been popular with many celebrities. One of the most famous users of Robes rental has been the spouse of the President of the Republic Suzanne Innes-Stubb.
