A fire broke out at waste processor PreZero on Vasco da Gamastraat in Emmen. The fire brigade is trying to get the fire under control.
Flames can be seen in a warehouse, while dark clouds of smoke billow out. Fire brigade stations from Emmen, Klazienaveen and Emmer-Compascuum responded after a report of scalding.
ProZero collects various types of waste in Emmen such as rubble, wood, paper and cardboard, industrial waste and construction and demolition waste. This is stored before being taken to other locations where it is processed into raw materials for new products.
