The popular Drenthe quiz LOOS is returning. Filming for the twelfth season will start in February and you can participate. Register now to compete for the title “Most Loze Drent 2026”.
In LOOS three candidates compete against each other. After three exciting rounds, one of them is eliminated, after which the remaining two candidates compete in a nerve-wracking final round.
The game rounds and questions are varied: from multiple choice questions about language to questions from children and an intense final, where you have to answer as many questions correctly as possible within one minute. The winner of each episode moves on to the next round, until there is one big winner left.
The quiz covers all kinds of topics, from Drenthe regional language and history to topography, music, sports and the news of the past year. Preparing is difficult, because the questions are diverse and unpredictable. “You should especially enjoy taking part in a quiz,” says Esmée Söllner, producer of LOOS. “And sometimes you just have to be a little lucky to get questions to which you know the answer.”
Anyone aged 16 and over can register. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian. You do not have to speak Drenthe, but some knowledge of the regional language is useful. “If you know the meaning of Drenthe words or sayings, but do not speak them, you can simply sign up,” says Söllner.
The quiz guarantees a fun evening with a nice group of people. Söllner: “In addition to being a fun experience to participate in, it is also a lot of fun. And you can also watch the other episodes live.” The first broadcast of LOOS can be seen on Monday, March 2. Will you register? Maybe you will be the successor to Alie Veen, the winner of the eleventh edition.
So are you a real quiz lover? Don’t hesitate and register.
LOOS is a collaboration between RTV Drenthe and the Huus van de Taol in the context of the ‘Meertmaond Streektaolmaond’. From Monday, March 2, the knowledge quiz will be on TV every working day. The presentation is in the hands of Aaldert Oosterhuis.
