The police arrived quickly and an intervention team was able to immediately capture one suspect; the second was arrested shortly afterwards. They had cash and jewelry with them, which have since been returned to the victim.
The West Flanders public prosecutor’s office is conducting an investigation into theft with forced entry and the formation of an association. Both men were arrested and taken to prison. They will appear before the council chamber on Tuesday. He will decide on their further detention.
