The victim was walking in Smedestraat on the night of October 3 to 4 around 3:20 am when he encountered a group of four men. At first the contact seems innocent: there is some talk back and forth.
Hard blow
But suddenly the atmosphere seems to change. Two young men turn around, push the victim over and punch him hard in the jaw. The man falls to the ground and is then kicked several times as he lies there defenseless. Bystanders eventually come to help.
The police are looking for two suspects who are on camera images. Because they are probably underage, they are shown unrecognizable for the time being.
Signals
One suspect has a light skin color, dark hair, was wearing a black jacket (presumably from The North Face), light blue jeans and light-colored shoes with dark accents. The second suspect also has a light skin color, wore a padded jacket, dark pants and light-colored shoes.
The police urgently call on the two suspects to report within one week. If they do not, the recognizable images will be shown next week.
