TUI shareholders can look forward to a dividend again. The company announced strong business figures.
The dividend for the past financial year 2024/25 is still low at just 10 cents per share, but is likely to increase in the coming years. The MDAX group, which has not paid a dividend since the beginning of the corona pandemic, speaks of a “starter dividend”. From the 2025/26 financial year, TUI now wants to distribute 10 to 20 percent of adjusted consolidated profit per share to its shareholders every year.
TUI reached important financial milestones in the last financial year, said Chief Financial Officer Mathias Kiep, according to the statement. Net debt has been further reduced and the net debt ratio has improved. The major rating agencies have upgraded TUI’s creditworthiness. “This solid financial foundation enables the next phase of our capital allocation,” Kiep said, according to the statement.
For the current 2025/26 financial year, TUI expects an increase in sales of 2 to 4 percent compared to the previous year and an increase in adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of 7 to 10 percent.
The TUI share temporarily fell by 2.54 percent to 8.15 euros via XETRA. Contact the author: [email protected]
