The Sieppi & Särkkä podcast discusses the events of the current Amazing Race Suomi season.

One of the current season Amazing Race Finland – contestants, Sara Sieppi, tells revelations about filming in her podcast.

The Sieppi & Särkkä podcast discusses Sieppi’s experiences of participating in the competition. He competes with his little brother, Artturi Siepinwith

Sieppi says, among other things, that he was excited in advance about what kind of material would be recorded on the cameras. He says that he is aware that he is not the “easiest person in the world” in difficult situations, so he thought about what kind of image he would convey on the show.

He says that he is relieved, because to the eyes of the viewer, the mood of Siepi’s siblings looks funny. However, Sara states that she and Arttur are the complete opposites of each other.

While Sara describes herself as busy and she tackles tasks quickly, her brother is calm and often reminds her to be precise and that there is no reason to mess around now.

From behind the scenes, Sara Sieppi tells her friend in a podcast episode, among other things, about the working methods of TV production. The competition is usually always exciting, but the interview moments, where the participants describe their feelings to the cameras, are carefully timed to keep the competition fair.

Sieppi explains how all participants are clocked the same eight-minute interview time, during which it is still not possible to continue progressing. If the contestants don’t want to talk to the cameras for the whole eight minutes, they have to wait.

Sieppi and Särkkä exchange a lot of ideas about what should or can be brought to the competition. Sabina Särkkä answers how she would definitely take an air curler with her. Sieppi, on the other hand, says that he thought about it, but is grateful that he didn’t.

– That’s a format where you don’t think about how you look. I looked absolutely shocking, says Sieppi.

Until now, the contestants have traveled in Asia. According to Siepi, for example, it was about 40 degrees in Cambodia, where the mood was really sweaty.

Competitors do not use phones during the competition, they are in the possession of the production.

– One night before, when we actually go on a trip, the phone went off right away. After all, the possibility would have been to take another phone in the ring, because no one checks your ring, Sieppi thinks aloud.

Sieppi says that during the trip he thought that he might have wanted to take an older phone on the trip with a number for his partner, but not a smartphone. However, he says at the same time that his conscience would not have lasted if he had broken the rules even in that way.

– If I were to think again, I might even take it secretly, Sieppi laughs.

Sieppi also says that he heard a rumor that a couple from the previous season had another phone with them.

In addition, Sieppi tells how fraudulent activity had been detected in their filming in connection with the packaging.

– When we went to hotels, we always got a hotel card, which you could use to see how long you were staying at that hotel.

For example, the competitors were in Cambodia for several days. After checking in at the hotel, the contestants got a hint that they would be staying longer at the destination in question.

– It happened that when we sometimes looked at each other’s chests in the morning, some of them had slightly lighter-looking chests. Then he looked at what welds, their kit is so small, you can’t have all the goods at the fair. Sometimes people secretly left bulky items in the rooms, Sieppi reveals.

He says that some also replaced the missing items by putting a pillow taken from the hotel on their chest.

– Really? Särkkä wonders.

According to Siepi, he and his brother packed all the things with them every time, but sometimes Siepi’s cosmetics were left in his brother’s laptop.

– It led to the fact that people started telling the production that some people were cheating. You have to start weighing your breasts. Then the production started going through the cracks, says Sieppi.

– We didn’t go to the hotel room anyway, but they said that if you don’t pack your bags, there will be a sanction.

– It was such a mess that people put pillows in there. I thought, okay, let’s go all out, Sieppi describes the competitive spirit of the group.
