The heated back and forth between 1. FC Nürnberg and SpVgg Greuther Fürth ends in a draw on Sunday. After every club hit, the cloverleaf had the right answer ready.
The Nuremberg Christ Child in the stadium and yet things were not contemplative on Sunday between the Franconian rivals, 1. FC Nürnberg and SpVgg Greuther Fürth. In the presence of the blonde-haired traditional figure, the second division teams fought a bitter battle on the pitch: four goals in just 13 minutes after half-time – in the Max Morlock Stadium, one half of the fans, then the other, cheered. In the end it was 2:2 (0:0), the 275th derby ended in a draw.
The new Fürth coach Heiko Vogel had already announced it: He wanted to surprise the FCN – in the first half this seemed to be achieved primarily through consistency and calm. Over 45 minutes, the cloverleaf set clever accents and created chances in front of the goal. The first half was slightly better for the Kleeblatt in terms of ball possession and actions in front of the goal. It wasn’t until after the half-time break that things went back to back.
Reichert saves FCN with a double save
After Nuremberg made it 1-0 in the 48th minute through Luka Lochoshvili, Fürth’s answer didn’t take long to arrive: Aaron Keller prevailed in a duel against Tim Janisch and found Felix Klaus in the center – who shot the ball into the far corner – 1-1. The second Nuremberg goal came from Mohamed Ali Zoma, the cloverleaf responded with Aaron Keller. So within a short time it was no longer 0:0, but 2:2. Towards the end, Fürth got going again: only a double save from Jan Reichert could prevent anything worse from happening.
