Parents of murdered OCMW employee Erik (56) testify for the first time: “Helping other people, that was in his nature”

The first Christmas without their only son will be difficult for Diana (78) and François (79). Since mid-August they have had to continue without Erik Boone (56), the affable OCMW employee who was brutally killed by a client during a home visit in Nieuw Ghent. For the first time, his parents talk extensively about the man who never sought attention himself, but his death unleashed a wave of reactions. “Now we really realize how close his second family was to the OCMW.”
