Wall Street wins after inflation figures, AEX closes flat
The American stock markets closed slightly higher. The inflation figures for September hardly deviated from the consensus, so it remains very likely that the Fed will cut interest rates by a quarter on Wednesday. The AEX did not move from its place. The recovery at Philips was offset by, among other things, a setback by Shell.
