Mr. Flora Lagerwerf-Vergunst will become a member of the Electoral Council as of January 1, 2026. The Council of Ministers has agreed to this nomination at the proposal of Minister Rijkaart of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
Flora Lagerwerf-Vergunst has broad administrative experience in various bodies and extensive political-administrative knowledge. She is currently a senior judge at the Court of Appeal in The Hague and a member of the Central Disciplinary Board for Healthcare. She was previously a member of the Senate and the State Committee on the Parliamentary System, and she worked at the Public Prosecution Service.
Flora Lagerwerf-Vergunst succeeds Laetitia Griffith, who was a member of the Electoral Council until December 1, 2025.
