Former MEP Eija-Riitta Korhola has married.

Former MEP and current Helsinki city councilor Eija-Riitta Korhola (kd) has married.
At the same time, the name changed. The new name is Eija-Riitta Korhola-Dunderfelt.
The wedding was last May.
– The wedding was held in a small circle, Korhola-Dunderfelt tells Iltalehte.
Korhola-Dunderfelt writes on Facebook that the wedding day was beautiful in the middle of rainy and cold days.
Korhola-Dunderfelt also says that she would love to be just Mrs. Dunderfelt, but because of her dissertation, she should keep her old name.
– And of course, because I am grateful for everything; past, present and future years. Mercy all.
Korhola-Dunderfelt was a member of the European Parliament between 1999-2014 and 2024. He left the coalition in 2023 and then joined the Christian Democrats. He was appointed to the board of Metsähallitus in June.
Korhola-Dunderfelt was previously married Atte Korholan with. Their more than 30-year marriage ended in divorce in 2012. The Korholoi have three children, the eldest of whom has become famous as a musician and actor Reeta-Leena Vestman.
