After six years we return to fight in a historic place for this discipline and the city. Many young people and champions will be protagonists in a ring that has seen boxers of the caliber of Scardina, Di Rocco and Zucco among others
On Friday, after 6 years of silence, the Teatro Principe, the last temple of Milanese boxing, reopens. Eleven years after the historic evening of 2014 which marked the rebirth of boxing in Milan, the Prince will reopen its doors with an event organized by OPI Since 82 and Fight Club Fragomeni with an evening that will also go live on Dazn and for which there is great demand for tickets, such is the wait. The date is not coincidental: it was 5 December 2014 when the Cherchi family – who have been organizing boxing meetings for over forty years – reopened the historic theater with the Italian welterweight championship between Antonio Moscatiello and Riccardo Pintaudi, broadcast live on Rai Sport with commentary by Nino Benvenuti.
relaunch with great champions

That moment marked the beginning of a growth path that would bring Italian boxing back to the top: a new generation of athletes was born from the Teatro Principe, and from there the project took shape that led to the collaboration with Matchroom Boxing and Dazn and the reopening of the Allianz Cloud in 2019, with international level events. Since 2014, the Prince has seen some of the greatest protagonists of European and world boxing pass through his ring: from Paul Malignaggi to Michel Soro, from Avni Yildirim to the Italian champions Di Rocco, Blandamura, Boschiero, Moscatiello, up to the new faces launched from this ring such as Daniele Scardina, Ivan Zucco, Maxim Prodan and many others.

The main event of the reopening evening will live up to its history: the Tunisian champion Akrem Aouina (13 wins, 5 knockouts, 1 defeat) of Fight Club Fragomeni, resident in Italy and trained by the former world champion Giacobbe Fragomeni, will contest the interim WBC World Silver at welterweight against Tom Hill (12 wins and 3 losses). The President of the WBC, Mauricio Sulaiman, accepted the request of the manager Christian Cherchi for the assignment of this title on an interim basis, since the current champion will shortly be involved in the world preliminaries of the WBC championship. A highly prestigious match that represents a leap in quality for Akrem, making his official debut under the management of the Cherchi family, ready to confirm himself as one of the most promising boxers on the national scene. The evening, with the involvement of Dazn, will thus mark a new chapter for Milanese boxing, bringing the Prince back to center stage. The program will reflect the philosophy that has always characterized the Teatro Principe: enhancing young Italian and international talents, offering them the opportunity to grow in a context of great tradition and visibility.
come back slowly

Great attention for the heavyweight Diego Lenzi, Olympic athlete in Paris 2024, who will play his third match as a professional. Lenzi, boxer of the Italian Army State Corps, is one of the most interesting promises of the new generation: an Italian heavyweight who represents a rebirth for the category, ready to build a path that from 2026 will be dedicated entirely to professionalism. The sub-highlight will also feature Raffaele Montella, Fabrizio Tibiletti, Muhamet Mema and Youssef Al Mourchid, talents who represent the future of Italian boxing. Opening the evening will be Alex Stana, a promising young amateur already very popular on social media, ready to make his professional debut in 2026.
