New in Lily Allen’s shop – “while stocks last”, as the saying goes. The British singer is now also offering her new album “West End Girl” as a USB stick. Limited because it can be assumed that many people are interested in the storage medium. The USB stick is an old format, right?
What matters here is the form – not the format. Because the USB stick is modeled after a very specific toy. A toy for adults. A butt plug. You can push it somewhere else, even if such parts should of course only be inserted into the openings of computers.
“West End Girl USB (Limited Quantities)” will be released on December 12, 2025 and can now be pre-ordered. Anyone who wanted to go to Lily Allen’s online shop actually had to wait in a digital queue – a sought-after toy.
A butt plug USB stick as limited “West End Girl” merch
The stick comes with an important note: “This product is a novelty USB device and is intended for data storage only.” So really, really for nothing else. An important note so that Allen can probably not be held liable if the buyer does not insert the stick into the correct slot (how else can you describe it!)
However, the butt plug action isn’t all that surprising. Lily Allen gave away USB sticks in the form of butt plugs at her album launch party for “West End Girl”. Intended as an ironic reference to her song “Pussy Palace”.
“Pussy Palace” deals with her separation from her husband, “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour. It contains the perhaps not consensually published line: “I found sex toys and butt plugs with lubricant in our apartment.” She implied that Harbor was cheating and wasn’t hiding his things well enough. Is the butt plug she offers in the online shop modeled on the sex toy from David Harbour? Maybe we don’t want to know that exactly.
