Things aren’t looking good for Mainz 05 in terms of sport. Therefore, the Bundesliga club has now drawn conclusions.
It wasn’t enough: Mainz 05 parted ways with coach Bo Henriksen. The club announced this on Wednesday. The bottom of the Bundesliga table pulled the ripcord after the sporting decline. With just six points from twelve games, the Rheinhessen have been at the bottom since Sunday evening. Mainz, which had achieved furious international business the previous year, was able to achieve a single victory. But the 4-1 win against FC Augsburg was on matchday four, and since then Mainz have suffered six defeats. Now that has consequences. Coach Bo Henriksen, who was once so popular with fans, has to go.
The 50-year-old took over the team in February 2024 and has since played 68 games for Mainz.
