German ski ace gets engaged

Sebastian Holzmann recently made his comeback after a serious injury. Now he wants to attack again – with his fiancée at his side.
The German ski racer Sebastian Holzmann has had challenging months. After a torn cruciate ligament, he is currently fighting his way back to the top of the world. He made his comeback in slalom in mid-November and has his sights set on the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo next year. Privately, the ski ace already has a reason to celebrate: he has gotten engaged to his partner Sophie Baumberger.
The couple announced this to their fans on Instagram. She posted a snapshot in which the couple can be seen kissing deeply – with their faces almost completely pressed together. Holzmann’s partner holds her left hand in front of her face, on which an engagement ring can clearly be seen.
In the caption she writes: “Yes yes yes.” So in German: “Yes yes yes.” She also added a ring emoji to the three words. In another photo, Holzmann and his fiancée laugh into the camera. Numerous companions congratulated him under the post.
