After the win against Leverkusen, Niko Kovač is enthusiastic about Karim Adeyemi’s performance. The attacker impresses with his speed and jumping ability.
Coach Niko Kovač praised attacker Karim Adeyemi highly after Borussia Dortmund’s game against Bayer Leverkusen. Kovač expressed his enthusiasm for Adeyemi’s abilities on Sky television and described him as “kissed by God”. The 23-year-old national player has exceptional speed, which he needs to use even more, the coach continued.
Adeyemi has scored one goal in each of the last three competitive games, including the decisive header in the 2-0 win in Leverkusen. Since an incident with the judiciary in which he said he ordered a “mystery box” containing illegal weapons, the striker has improved greatly and is concentrating on football again.
Sebastian Kehl, sporting director of Borussia Dortmund, also praised Adeyemi and emphasized that the player had admitted his mistake and, after a clarifying conversation, was focusing on his sporting achievements again. The win against Leverkusen was BVB’s first success against a big team this season, which made Kehl particularly happy: “Now hopefully the discussions that we can’t win against big teams will stop,” Kehl told Sky.
On Tuesday, Borussia Dortmund will face Bayer Leverkusen again in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup. BVB player Julian Brandt was optimistic about the game and expressed his desire to beat Leverkusen again.
