Kingsley Coman played in Munich for a decade and won numerous titles there. He left the club in the summer. Now there is a special gesture from Bayern.

Before the Bundesliga game against FC St. Pauli, FC Bayern Munich will officially say goodbye to a long-time top performer. As the club announced, the tribute to Kingsley Coman will take place in the Allianz Arena on Saturday (from 3:30 p.m. in the live ticker on t-online).

Coman left the German record champions in August after ten years and moved to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia for a transfer fee of up to 35 million euros.

During his time at FC Bayern, the offensive player played 339 competitive games, scored 72 goals and prepared 71 more goals. With the club he won nine championships, the Champions League once, the Club World Cup, the DFB Cup three times, the German Super Cup six times and the European Super Cup once.

In October, Coman gave insights into the circumstances of his move in an interview with the French newspaper “L’Équipe”. “At the end of the transfer there were things – which I won’t mention – that complicated the situation. I wasn’t forced out of the club, but I was told that the club would be open to leaving due to its financial situation,” said the 29-year-old.

He added: “I had the love of the coach, the fans, some people in the club’s management… but not everyone. There was a part of the club that wanted me to leave. And that part took up a lot of space in my head.”
