Media personality Sointu Borg, 33, speaks in the latest The word is free podcast about anxiety.
Borg has previously spoken publicly about his mental health challenges and panic disorder. Now he opened up about the matter concretely in a recent episode to fellow presenter Janni Huss.
– When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I always check is that Tomi is breathing, Borg says, referring to his partner Tomi Solose.
– Really? Oh, Hussi said sympathetically.
– These are symptoms of anxiety. If Tomi is playing games and I don’t hear anything from him, I might have thoughts like that he’s suffocated or having a seizure. These are related to anxiety. I’m used to this.
Borg goes on to state that if she were to have children, she would have to be careful with her reactions. He would not want to convey to the child the idea that the world is a dangerous place.
Borg recently spoke on a podcast about the feeling that there is a void inside him. Borg also considers himself to be a kind of lost and restless soul who is constantly searching for meaning, although he also experiences happiness.
– I am such a deep-thinking person: I think too much about life, society and existence. Sometimes that vacuum is bigger or smaller. It probably also depends on my genes, that is, my anxiety, which is genetic, he said.
