What do you do if you have just won 1-4 against the English champions? Well, that varies a lot from person to person. For example, Peter Bosz opts for a delicious red wine, but the man who scored two goals, Couhaib Driouech, goes to bed nice and early. Joey Veerman takes a different tack and goes for the Dutch Krakers on Wednesday evening.

PSV delivered an amazing performance on Wednesday by beating Liverpool 1-4 in the Champions League. Reason for a party, you might say. Joey Veerman has previously stated that not everyone is a fan of his taste in music. “Before the match I don’t even dare to connect to the box, then they are all too serious. But after the match, I will pick it up.”

Unfortunately for Joey, he had to speak to the journalists present after the match. Still, he will play a special song on the way back: “I’m a big fan of the 3JS myself. They are very good singers. But unfortunately not all teammates know them.”

Couhaib Driouech appears at the press conference with his Man of the Match trophy. “He’s going to bed with me tonight.” Furthermore, we should not expect too much from the man with two goals: “I’m going to sleep and then see if I wake up from this dream.”

Captain Jerdy Schouten did not even dare to dream this: “1-4 never crossed my mind, that is very enthusiastic at Anfield.” Yet it is reality, Schouten also noticed in the stadium. “At one point I heard our fans more than those of Liverpool, but that may have had something to do with the score.”

Wine for Bosz

Peter Bosz also enjoyed it: “I was hopefully as happy as all the boys after the match. Winning at Anfield is of course a world achievement.” After being asked how he is going to celebrate, he asks the press secretary: “A glass of wine?” This is followed by an affirmative nod. “But a nice red one,” concludes the 62-year-old coach.
