VfL Wolfsburg is struggling with a series of injuries. Jonas Wind also had to undergo an operation and will be missing from the team for the time being.
Jonas Wind, the Danish national striker for VfL Wolfsburg, suffered a muscle injury in his thigh and had to undergo surgery in Munich. This development exacerbates the Bundesliga club’s already tense personnel situation, which has already suffered several long-term absences.
The club announced that wind will be canceled “until further notice.” Bence Dardai and Moritz Jenz are also out of action for the long term after suffering a knee injury and a torn muscle bundle, respectively. Kevin Paredes has been out since the start of the season due to foot surgery.
New signing Jesper Lindström has just started training again after a groin injury, which at least offers the team a small glimmer of hope. The accumulation of injuries poses a major challenge for VfL Wolfsburg, as the squad is already burdened by a sporting crisis. Those responsible at the club now have to find solutions to bridge the personnel shortages and stop the sporting decline. After eleven match days, the Wolves are in 15th place with just eight points.
