The new reality series De Hanslers proves that the relationship between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law is difficult. The Hansler family, with Mike, daughter-in-law Denise, father Peter and mother Monique, goes to the Costa Blanca to open a beach bar. The family has already achieved fame thanks to the dating program Winter full of love, a real hit on Videoland and television. In the first episode it becomes clear that things are not going well between Denise and mother Monique. After the recording of the series, it is even announced that Denise and Mike have broken up. Reporter Hein Keijser takes to the streets to ask people in Rotterdam about their experiences with in-laws and relationship therapist Cocky Drost explains why things are often so difficult.
