A 21-year-old man from Nistelrode was arrested in his home on Tuesday morning. He is suspected of involvement in a home robbery in Sint-Oedenrode in May, in which the resident had a gun pressed to his head.
A family was robbed by two men in their home on Lieshoutseweg in May. The resident of the house was sleeping when he was rudely awakened and saw two unknown men in his bedroom. He had a gun pressed to his head. The burglars demanded money.
When the victim said he had no money and called for help, the perpetrators hit him several times. They eventually ran off. The man’s two children were also home during the robbery. They were not injured.
The 21-year-old man from Nistelrode is currently in custody. His home has been searched. The other man has not yet been arrested. The police are therefore continuing with the investigation.
