Former D66 leader Sigrid Kaag has been ‘disturbed’ by the ‘Fuss in The Hague’ surrounding the resignation of former informant Hans Wijers (D66). She stated this last weekend during a broadcast of Buitenhof. According to Kaag, NRC’s revelations about Wijers were ‘absurd’. The informateur was discredited because of his preference for a broad middle cabinet. He later resigned after new reporting from NRC about his qualifications about VVD leader Dilan Yesilgöz. In the House of Representatives, D66 leader Rob Jetten responded to the statements of the former leader of his party on Tuesday morning in conversation with reporter Pim Sedee, bringing the issue to light again.
