“We received several drinks after closing time”: bartender (22) of popular Antwerp café requests additional investigation into six alleged rapes

A bartender (22) who is being prosecuted for six rapes involving five victims, requested additional investigation in the council chamber this morning. The council chamber allowed this. He allegedly committed the alleged rapes while he was working in the popular café ZeeZicht in Antwerp. According to investigators, he got the women drunk after hours and then raped them. On one occasion a victim was even said to have been sleeping. But the bartender himself categorically denies it. “A conspiracy by the victims,” says the defense.
