Assen has been plagued by car fires this week. Last night a vehicle caught fire on Maasstraat, which is already the fourth incident this week.
The fire brigade was unable to prevent the car from completely burning out last night. The police have not ruled out arson.
In the night from Sunday to Monday, a car on Talmastraat went up in flames, and in the night from Wednesday to Thursday an attempt was made to set fire to a car on Smetanalaan. And from Thursday to Friday, cars burned on Talmastraat and Mr. PJ Troelstralaan out. It is not yet clear whether there is a connection between the fires.
