Ariana Grande experienced a scary situation.

A Singaporean court has sentenced an Australian man to nine days in jail for attacking singer and actress Ariana Grande Wicked for Good – at the premiere of the film, says BBC.

On Thursday, Grande was at the premiere of the film she starred in in Singapore, when an eager fan unexpectedly climbed over the security fence and rushed to the world star.

The fan wrapped her arms around Grande’s neck and shoulders and eagerly jumped on her for a moment. The video shows co-star Cynthia Erivo reacting quickly and pushing the fan away.

After the argument, the bodyguards grabbed the troublemaker and removed him from the scene. He was arrested after the incident. Grande seemed clearly upset by the situation.

The man is said to have run up to several performers on stage, including when Katy Perry and The Chainsmokers performed in Sydney and when The Weeknd performed in Melbourne.

Earlier, the court brought charges against him for disturbing public order. Wen could have been fined up to 2,000 Singapore dollars (approx. 1,330 euros).

Wen told the court that he would not do something similar again.

Although Grande was clearly upset by the incident, she still thanked her fans on Instagram.
