Biathlete speaks about alleged attempted manipulation

The biathletes start the new season at the end of November. Recently, a case of manipulation between two teammates became public. These are now expressing themselves.
According to the “Dicodusport” portal, Jeanne Richard is said to have manipulated her teammate Océane Michelon’s rifle. Olympic champion Justine Braisaz-Bouchet caught the alleged perpetrator in the act. “Le Dauphiné libéré” reported on the incident, which the newspaper said had been resolved internally. Now those affected have spoken out themselves.
As “sport.de” reports, the French women talked about it in Bessans at the weekend. Richard said: “We have clarified the issue internally. For me, the matter has been checked off and we are looking forward.” Michelon also remained rather reserved: “It’s like she said. It was something we clarified internally.”
The 23-year-old also explained: “What motivates each and every one of us is what awaits us soon.” According to Océane Michelon, the Simon case made the team good at “classifying things.” As a result of her actions, Simon will miss the season opener in Östersund (Sweden) on the last weekend in November as punishment, but will be allowed to take part in the 2026 Olympics in Italy.
