The Dutch national team officially qualified for the World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States on Monday evening. The team of national coach Ronald Koeman won 4-0 against Lithuania in the Johan Cruijff Arena. In the first half, Tijjani Reijnders opened the score, after which Cody Gakpo, Xavi Simons and Donyell Malen were still accurate in the second half. Koeman chose a number of different names in the starting line-up compared to the match against Poland (1-1). Simons, Reijnders, Nathan Aké and Matthijs de Ligt kicked off.
