Top club is looking for offensive power
Italians are keeping an eye on two ex-Bayern strikers

Things aren’t going well for Mathys Tel and Joshua Zirkzee at the moment. Despite little playing time, they have apparently been targeted by a top Italian club.
AS Roma wants to strengthen its attack and has apparently kept an eye on two former FC Bayern players. As the Italian “Gazzetta dello Sport” reports, Joshua Zirkzee is at the top of the list. The Dutchman moved to the German record champions as a youth and gained experience in Italy through a loan spell at Parma Calcio and two years at FC Bologna. He then joined Manchester United in the summer of 2024.
Zirkzee currently plays no role under coach Rúben Amorim. In the current season, he has come off the bench four times in eleven possible Premier League games so far, with a total of just 82 minutes of playing time. As the British “Daily Mail” reports, the 24-year-old is planning to leave the “Red Devils” in the winter. Zirkzee therefore wants more playing time so that he can compete in the World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
However, if a loan or a move to Rome for the striker does not come about, according to the report from Italy, Mathys Tel would be one of the Serie A club’s preferred candidates. The 20-year-old only moved to Tottenham Hotspur on loan last winter before the English team signed the player from FC Bayern for 35 million euros in the summer.
Nothing is going well for Tel on the island in terms of sport either. Although he was used eight times in eleven possible games, the French U21 player was only on the pitch for 12 minutes in the last three games. He was recently not nominated for the Champions League by team manager Thomas Frank. After his move from Stade Rennes to FC Bayern and his time at Spurs, Rome would be the third stop abroad.
