Verstappen drove smoothly and flawlessly, while his first pursuer Bjorn Syx had bad luck early on. Syx suffered no fewer than two punctures on KP 3 and was able to immediately forget about a good result.
Davy Vanneste from Menen started with doubts, but immediately made a big jump in the rankings. From fifth to second place. Closely followed by Vincent Verschueren (7-time winner in Kortrijk) and Lander Depotter from Heestert.
Verstappen controls, and in the end Vanneste loses second place to Vincent Verschueren. The difference between the two is barely half a second. Depotter is fourth, Cherain fifth.
