In terms of awarding points in the ATP ranking, the Masters tournament is second only to the Slams. The monetary prize is also pharaonic: the champion will take home over 4 million euros

It’s a final that’s worth a lot. Glory, of course, but also points and money. The spoils of the ATP Finals, in terms of world ranking, are second only to the Slams, which offer 2000 points for victory. If the Masters are worth 1000 points, the “masters tournament” offers 1500 points for the undefeated champion. This would be the case for both, given that both Alcaraz and Sinner completed the journey in their respective groups without defeat. The stakes become even more relevant in this close fight for first place. The Spaniard is already certain of finishing 2025 in the lead, but the restart from January will depend on the outcome of Turin. At the moment, in the live ranking which takes into account the results achieved so far, Alcaraz has 12,050 points, compared to Sinner’s 11,000. In case of victory, Carlos would rise to 12,550, distancing his opponent by 1550 points. If, however, Jannik were to do an encore by beating his rival, he would rise to 11,500 points and would be just 550 points behind number 1. In short, a thousand points are at stake in today’s match. And it didn’t end here.

PRIZE MONEY atp finals

The current edition of the Finals offered a record prize pool: 15.5 million dollars. The undefeated winner will receive – before taxes – 5 million dollars, exactly 5,071,000, equivalent to 4.4 million euros (participation in the tournament alone, playing the three round robin matches, was worth 331 thousand dollars). Last year Jannik, reaching the Finals without losing a match, took home almost 4.9 million dollars. The losing finalist will have to settle, so to speak, for a check equal to 2.4 million dollars.
