The 44-year-old man from East Flanders is in jail because he allegedly went too far with a student during a school activity.
The council chamber in Oudenaarde allowed the man to leave the cell with an ankle bracelet, but the public prosecutor’s office is appealing. Pending what the Indictment Chamber decides, the man will remain in prison for the time being.
