Francisco An icon of South American football, Spanish by origin and Bolivian at heart, Azkargorta declared last October that he had suffered from heart problems for years but that the situation was “stable thanks to the constant care of my wife and son”. Remembered for having also coached Espanyol, Nàstic, Valladolid, Sevilla and Tenerife, his career was marked by success in Bolivia, where he was the coach of División Profesional clubs such as Oriente Petrolero, Bolívar, Sport Boys and Atlético Palmaflor, here his last bench in 2020.
