Birkenstock sandals are not works of art, but the brand does win a case against Scapino over counterfeit models

Birkenstock has won a lawsuit from Scapino over the counterfeiting of popular sandal models from the German brand. The judge in Utrecht rules that the Dutch shoe store chain has infringed the copyright of three Birkenstock models by selling similar sandals.
