Ayşen Taşkın, an athlete of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Kağıtspor Club, brought Türkiye its first gold medal in the organization’s boxing branch. Competing in the 54 kilo category, the national athlete faced her Azerbaijani opponent Nargiz Zeynelova in the final. Taşkın defeated his opponent and became the champion.
The 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, organized this year with the participation of member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, will be held in Riyadh between 7-21 November. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Kağıtspor Club is participating in the organization with 9 athletes in judo, karate, boxing and wrestling.
