The Harlins start the episode by lamenting that the podcast season is coming to an end. Soon, however, the couple will travel with their two children to the United States, Miami, where their home is.
Although the Harlins leave Barcelona with a wistful mood, Johanna is also happy to be able to sleep in her own bed again.
Soon the conversation turns to enthusiastic moods for Renny as well.
– There hasn’t been much talk about this yet, but we’re getting a new… car! Renny starts.
Renny emphasizes in the episode that he is not usually “car crazy”.
– Now I got the feeling that I want to optimize the situation and find us a really nice car.
The Harlins are currently expecting a third child in the family. This is why they need a family car with seven seats. However, Renny was adamant that their family would not have a traditional minibus.

More than 100,000 euros
Renny says that he did careful research on which car would be suitable for them. He has also asked for help from professionals and his friends. The purchase decision has not been easy, because Renny received many kinds of instructions and suggestions.
Finally, Renny made a decision. He says he bought an electric car for his family. It is a Rivian brand R1S Quad model SUV.
– This is my first electric car, says Renny.
– It has four engines. It’s completely unconscious, you couldn’t have imagined it twenty years ago, that an electric car is much more efficient than a normal gasoline car, Renny continues.
According to Renny, the car accelerates from zero to one hundred in just over two and a half seconds. However, Johanna reminds in the podcast that their family doesn’t need to drive fast.

The World of Technology – magazine wrote about the car model that will join the Harlin family in the summer of 2025. According to the magazine, the prices of the R1S model in question start at 121,990 dollars, which is 104,400 euros.
Renny also talks about the nice handshake he received from the car salesman.
– It was a nice public benefit when they found out who bought that car. They said: “I talked to my boss, we’re going to add supersport 22-inch special rims and tires to this,” Renny enthuses.
