Merel Westrik has given the top management of radio station JOE quite a scare, because she said in the newspaper that reading the news in Coen & Sander’s morning show is unsustainable. “Shame.”
According to Merel Westrik, it is far too tiring for her to get up before dawn every day to read the news in The Coen & Sander Show on radio station JOE. When asked whether it can still be sustained, she answers honestly: “I think the honest answer is that it is ultimately unsustainable for me.
Enough of job
Merel has a nice annual snack with the Sinterklaas news, but when she stops reading the news, there is virtually nothing left. “She did not literally say: ‘I have had enough of my job’, but you can hardly draw any other conclusion,” says the surprised Story boss Guido den Aantrekker in Show news.
He continues: “I recently had the honor of being in a podcast of hers, Gonzo. I had only met her once at a party with her then husband, fashion magnate Patrick Maas, and I didn’t have that idea of her, but I think she is such a very nice woman who can really create an atmosphere in such a conversation that is very fun.”
Maternity
Guido would think it would be a shame if Merel would sit at home unemployed after a JOE exit. “She is very interested and well prepared, so I would think it would be a shame if she now only aspired to motherhood, so to speak. I hope she is preserved from the media world.”
Show expert Jordi Versteegden said: “I think she would have fitted in perfectly with RTL Tonight. It’s a real shame that that never came to fruition.”
Sandra Schuurhof: “It will come back. Talent always comes to the surface.”
Guido finally: “I hope so.”
