Johnny de Mol does not like that Jack van Gelder has criticized him on television. According to Jack, Johnny is a piece of cake when it comes to presenting talk shows. “Just call me!”
Very strange: Jack van Gelder was welcome in De Oranjezomer last summer when Hélène Hendriks was the host, but not when Johnny de Mol was the host. The former sports presenter didn’t mind that very much, because Jack thinks Johnny is a very bad talk show host. “I wouldn’t advise him to present another season, because he can’t do that.”=
Short line
Jack sneered at Johnny not only on television, but also in De Telegraaf. “Thank God everything is a profession,” he said about the substitution of the son of the great Talpa boss John de Mol.
Too bad, Johnny thinks. “I then think: give me a call,” he responds, also in The Telegraph. “We have a short line, normally.”
‘It wasn’t my fault’
De Telegraaf wonders why Jack acts this way. “Could this rant from Van Gelder have something to do with the fact that he was not allowed to sit at the table as a sidekick in De Oranjezomer?”
Johnny about it: “It wasn’t my fault that he wasn’t there.”
What the reason is remains unclear.
Number 1
Johnny is not going to follow Jack’s advice to quit as a talk show host. “We were the number 1 talk show in the Netherlands. A Johnny who is in shape can handle this.”
Did he consider himself out of shape? “Yes, but we are a year further. It can always be better, but I want to put my shoulders to the wheel again.”
