During the inspection, 250 train passengers and 600 bus passengers were subjected to an inspection. Only one train passenger and one bus passenger were found to have narcotics in their pockets. De Lijn inspectors also caught thirty bus passengers without a valid ticket. One person was also found who had been arrested, it was a minor who had previously run away from an institution.
According to the police, the action is intended to deter people with bad intentions and to increase safety around the station. Such large-scale checks will be repeated in the future.
