Father testifies after fire in chic residential area in Schilde: “My children jumped from the first floor”

A serious fire destroyed a villa in the chic Rodedreef in Schilde on Thursday evening. A 43-year-old mother was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, her two young children (8 and 10) narrowly escaped by jumping from the first floor. Their father testifies in shock: “We are now mainly trying to recover.”
