The Italian tennis player, who will appear in Turin as the number two seed, has been included in the Borg group: as mentioned, Zverev, Shelton and Auger Aliassime as opponents even if there is always the unknown Musetti. If Lorenzo were to win the ATP 250 tournament in Athens, he would take eighth place in the Race 2025 and take the Canadian’s place for the derby with his friend Jannik.
On paper the draw for Sinner was good but only because in recent weeks he beat his three rivals on indoor hard courts, between Vienna and Paris. The most dangerous rival seems to be Zverev, seeded number three, and even beaten twice by the blue in the two tournaments we have just indicated. Shelton, however, ended up knocked out in Paris like the Canadian himself. In all three comparisons Jannik has favorable precedents. The odds of the main betting bookies indicate Sinner as the great favorite for success: 1.65 on Sisal, Better Lottomatica and Planetwin365 against those of Alcaraz which oscillate between 3.50 (Better and Planet) and 4.00 (Sisal).

In order to keep the number one position who will recover right at the start of the Finals, Alcaraz would have to win at least three matches, in which case he would remain ahead even in the event of Sinner’s success.
