Due to a measure by the French police, many Bayern fans can only travel back at 5 a.m. – an appeal by the club failed.
The Paris Administrative Court rejected a joint objection by FC Bayern, the European fan alliance “Football Supporters Europe” (FSE) and the French fan association “Association Nationale des Supporters”. The court followed the arguments of the police prefecture, according to which up to 150 “risk fans” were expected. The administrative court’s reasoning shows that the police also referred to two clashes between both fan groups in 2017 and 2024 at games in Munich.
FC Bayern: “Treatment of fans contradicts all standards”
The day before the Champions League game between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, the Paris police prefecture ordered that all 15 Bayern fan buses must assemble at a motorway toll booth outside Paris. FC Bayern said they were only allowed to leave from there at 5 p.m. under police escort to the Parc des Princes stadium. Even the buses that had already arrived in Paris would have had to leave Paris again and also go to this toll booth.
“There are completely inadequate sanitary facilities there, a single toilet and no food or drinks, and the treatment of fans contradicts all standards.”the club said. “This action is unprecedented”said Jan-Christian Deesen, CEO of FC Bayern, according to the statement. The verdict only came on Tuesday afternoon. “As it is likely too late to do anything about this outrageous behavior, this is once again a slap in the face to our fans.”said Dreesen.

The European fan alliance FSE also criticized the measure. “The organization of this game is a farce”FSE said. “By treating away fans like animals, the French authorities only demonstrate their blatant inability to host a football match in safe and welcoming conditions.”
Drivers’ driving times – departure only at 5 a.m
A subsequent problem: According to FC Bayern, the later arrival also shifts the bus drivers’ driving times. This will “The departure time will only be possible six to seven hours after the game”. The return journey begins at 5 a.m. at the earliest.
“This order forces fans to remain in the parking lot in front of the stadium until departure. In addition to these unacceptable conditions, it will mean that many fans will not be able to reach their place of work the next day.”said FC Bayern.
FSE criticized fundamental Trend in dealing with away fans
FSE sees a fundamental trend in dealing with away fans. “We are appalled at how the French authorities continue to treat football fans – through excessive measures and even bans. This is part of a deeply worrying development.”
This also refers to the increasingly frequent exclusions of visiting fans by authorities from European games. On Tuesday, Eintracht Frankfurt had to make do without their own fans at the game in Naples.
