Anger over ‘Arbeit Macht Frei’ float in Halloween parade, but designer ‘didn’t mean it that way’

A Colorado elementary school Halloween parade took on a dark edge last weekend. In the procession of terrifying designs, the float of Saint Joseph Catholic School in the town of Hanover stood out in a negative way. The text on the car read ‘Arbeit Macht Frei’, which hung at the entrance to concentration camps during the Second World War.
