“AC Milan announces that, after some routine medical checks, to our honorary vice president Franco Baresi was found to have a pulmonary nodulation. It was decided that the best thing to do was to remove it with minimally invasive surgery. The operation went well and the post-operative course was free of complications. Franco was subsequently evaluated by the oncologist specialist who recommended a consolidative course of immunotherapy. The entire Board of Directors, the club’s management, the employees and collaborators, the technical staff, and all the AC Milan footballers send Franco their heartfelt wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. Captain, we are always with you!“
