Flowers, cards and candles have been placed at the site of the fatal accident in memory of the child who died. Local residents come together to remember the tragic incident. “It is of course horrible, I have grandchildren of this age myself. You shouldn’t think about that,” says a local resident who has just come to look at the laid flowers.
A twelve-year-old boy also comes by to pay tribute. “I do tell God that I hope he is doing well. And that he goes to heaven,” he says. The boy, who also rides a fat bike, says the accident made a big impression on him. “Now my feeling is very strong, drive carefully.”
For privacy reasons, the police do not reveal the age or gender of the victim for the family. No information is shared about the relationship between the adult and the child.
It is not yet clear how exactly the accident could have happened. The police are investigating the circumstances.
