The Sport 2000 retail association has opened its first store in Slovakia with its “Absolute Teamsport” retail concept. Last Wednesday, October 22, 2025, Absolute Teamsport Elvesport celebrated its official opening in Bratislava.
According to Sport 2000, the new store will be operated together with football and team sports equipment specialist SportFotbal, which has been a fixture in Czech football retail for more than 23 years. Owner David Hrubý, a former professional footballer at Sparta Prague, among others, is expanding the team sports concept into a new country. SportFotbal holds exclusive rights to the concept in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Expansion into Slovakia together with SportFotbal

At the same time, the expansion strengthens the collaboration with our strategic partner brands and promotes mutual growth.”
The new store is located at 5 Bajkalská Street in the Ružinov district and has a sales area of approximately 200 square meters. Visitors can experience the Absolute team sports range, which includes products from international sporting goods brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Jako, Hummel, Skechers and Mizuno.
“With Bratislava, our global network is growing to 51 stores in 15 countries. This development underlines the strength of the Absolute Teamsport concept in the various markets,” confirms Dominik Solleder, Managing Director of Sport 2000 GmbH.
With the new store in the Slovakian capital, the company is taking another important step in its territorial expansion – just in August, Absolute Teamsport celebrated the opening of its 50th store in Maribor, Slovenia.
The next step is scheduled to take place in December: the next Absolute Teamsport store in a European capital is to be opened in Zagreb, Croatia, in partnership with the retailer Rost Šport.
