In the DFB Cup
Bayern’s assistant apparently became loud in the dressing room

In the end, FC Bayern celebrated a clear victory against 1. FC Köln in the DFB Cup. But in the meantime it didn’t necessarily look like it would. That’s why an assistant coach became clear.
The German record champions won 4-1 against 1. FC Köln in the second round of the DFB Cup. Coach Vincent Kompany’s team confidently moved into the round of 16. But things weren’t so clear in the first half. Ragnar Ache scored after a standard situation in the 31st minute to give Cologne a 1-0 lead. Bayern were then able to turn the game around before the break, but assistant coach Aaron Danks was apparently anything but happy about the goal being conceded.
As Harry Kane said on ESPN, Danks took over the halftime speech. “He spoke to us a bit in the English way,” revealed Kane with a smile. What he means by that: It got a little louder. Because Danks is responsible for the standards at FC Bayern. They are actually one of Munich’s strengths, but in Cologne the defensive behavior of his players when the ball was at rest was apparently not good enough for Danks.
Kane also spoke of “a bit of a mess” in his own penalty area. “We weren’t really in the right positions, weren’t clear with the instructions,” he added.
The speech obviously had an effect. In the second half, Bayern dominated the action and extended their narrow lead.
