Foreign Ministry thanked Turkey for mediation in the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine

Russia is grateful to Turkey for mediating efforts to conduct Russian-Ukrainian talks and to resolve the situation in general, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing. Broadcast led TV channel “Russia 24”.

“We are really grateful to Turkey for that mediating role, for those mediating efforts that the leadership of this country was ready to provide and is providing, for holding, in particular, Russian-Ukrainian negotiations, and in general, in principle, resolving the situation,” she said.

Vucic offered to hold Russian-Ukrainian talks in Belgrade

Earlier on March 29, negotiations were held between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul. On March 10, Foreign Ministers of Russia and Ukraine Sergey Lavrov and Dmitry Kuleba met in Antalya.

Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, Kyiv and Moscow have held several rounds of negotiations, the first three were held in Belarus, then the parties continued to meet via videoconferences.
